Big Change to Space Misfits Blueprints Tokens
A big change is coming to Space Misfits Blueprint ERC1155 tokens. As Space Misfits has evolved over the years during development game design, balancing and other features have been added or modified to improve the gameplay experience. We want Space Misfits to be a game that provides years and years of sustainability. This change in blueprints will allow blueprints to evolve and give a player a sense of progression and also increase the current value of the blueprints that have been minted.
As of right now blueprints simply give the holder the “right” to build a item in the forge. As a blueprint holder you will be able to use the forge to build ships, weapons, modules and components. The items you build in the forge can be used by the builder for their personal use or sold on the player-driven marketplace for BITS. The fundamental foundation of the blueprint is not changing. What is changing is the player progression through blueprints and the requirements one needs to unlock higher levels of blueprints.
Space Misfits is introducing an “access level” feature in-game. This feature unlocks higher access levels of blueprints that improve the quality and performance potential of the item being built. There are currently 7 access levels.
Access Level 1 — Grey
Access Level 2 — Green
Access Level 3 — Blue
Access Level 4 — Yellow
Access Level 5 — Purple
Access Level 6 — Orange
Access Level 7 — Black
Access levels start out at grey and progress to black which is end game content. Each level unlocks further increases in stat potential. The higher the access level the higher the stat potential. On top of access levels, a blueprint holder is also required to hold telemetry tokens. Telemetry increases the chance of higher stats for each access level. The more Telemetry you own the higher chance of rolling a better item in the forge. Telemetry can only be earned in-game through drops.
All current blueprint tokens will be converted to “All Access Level” tokens. This means the current blueprints will unlock ALL levels. Instead of turning the current tokens into a grey token we felt like the best thing we can do to our current holders is come up with a way that will not only create an incredible progression for players building in the forge but also roll this new feature out that will increase the benefits of these tokens.
We feel this change will positively impact the blueprint holders and give them further gameplay and content to play through. Moving these tokens to all access levels will provide continued value throughout the entire life of progression inside Space Misfits.
